This was my “Show and Tell” story for my first ASL class at the Salt Lake Community College. I received 88 out of 100 points for my efforts. I was docked for grammar (which makes sense since I am still in Signed English mode), fingerspelling clarity, and facial expressions. My instructor loved the story though.

AWWWW! I loved it! good job on your ASL project! Even though you have an “English” accent, I still understood everything you said. The story brought to mind the many humorous “adventures” that my hearing boyfriend and I (deaf) had together. Your hubby sounds like such a sweetheart and I wish you many years of happiness together!
Oh, I loved this! It’s such a beautiful story. I’m going to forward it on to all of my friends.
It got to be shared!
What an absolutely fabulous video!! I am deaf myself, don’t use much BSL and don’t know ASL at all, but with the captions I totally understood this and laughed along with you, especially about the car salesman – I have known many people like that.
It is such a shame that people will ignore Steven if they know that you are hearing, fortunately I have not come across quite such blatant discrimination, I will ask for help if I need it, but in the main most people will talk to me even if I am with someone else.
I love that story. It make a good sense to show and tell so it is a good education for other people. I gotta to show it to my hearing wife. Our marriage is 14 years now. Hey Steven, keep trying to learn ASL and work with . Never too late. Thank for Show and Tell.
That s a real sweet story about ur relationship with ur Deaf hubby. Thanks for sharing.
